Great Pictures On-line Bring In Buyers!

Before you or your Real Estate Agent lists your home and takes pictures, be sure to have it Staged! Why? Recent statistics show that over 80% of people will view a home on the web first, before they decide to go see it.

If a buyer finds the pictures unappealing, your home won't get shown!

Make sure your pictures highlight the spaciousness of your home, along with any architectural features that make it stand out from the rest.

Are You Helping the Competition Sell Their House?

If there are 5 homes for sale in your neighborhood, and yours is one of them, what are you doing to stand out from the rest? If the price of the homes are basically the same, which house gets the 2nd look?

The answer is simple; it's the home that appeals to the most buyers. It's the home that draws you in. It's the home that looks like it is expecting company! It's the home that appeared to have more square feet than the others. It's the one that kept them lingering in for a whole hour! Don't help your neighbors sell their home by assuming your house is fine "as is".

Stage your home and make it be the one buyers and realtors make comparisions to! Give yourself the sellers edge and Stage Your Home! It is well worth it!

Since Today is all about Math....

Today is PI day, and for those of you who are into the math thing, PI is 3.14, which happens to be today! So, let's celebrate by quoting some fascinating Home Staging statistics!
  • Homes listed without staging took 163.7 days to sell. Homes listed and then staged took 13.7 days to sell, and home that were staged first, then listed, took 8.9 days.

  • More than 80 percent of the population cannot visualize a home's potential when viewing a home full of clutter and disorganization. Buyers want to feel they are receiving a good value for their money. A Staged Home will maximize space and amenities.

  • The average home buyer will make a decision to buy within the first 5 minutes. First impressions matter, which is why staging begins with curb appeal!

  • Stage your home first, and retain a higher sale price! A National Association of Realtors survey found that the longer a home stays on the market, the further below list price it drops. Homes that sold in the first 4 weeks averaged 1 percent more than the list price; 4 to 12 weeks averaged 5 percent less; 13 to 24 weeks averaged 6.4 percent less than list price; and 24 weeks averaged more than 10 percent less than list price.

  • Stage your home first, then take pictures and place on a web-site. According to the National Association of Realtors, 77% of people use the Internet to look at a property before viewing it in person.

Simple Living = Easy Cleaning!

One of the most common remarks we receive after we've staged a home is that cleaning is so much easier! All those little knick-knacks, stacks of papers and counter clutter can really slow you down when it comes time to clean each week. If you have set aside some time in the next few weeks to do some "spring cleaning", take a little time and store away some of those items displayed or stacked in your home that may not be necessary or are just taking up space. You'll be so excited by the speed in which your dusting and cleaning chores will be completed!

Dramatic Changes!

Judy and I love what we do! Below is an example of how dramatic the changes can be when a home is professionally staged! This home had beautiful decor, but may not appeal to all prospective buyers. Once the home was staged, the home has a clean "model home" appeal.

Check out this Before and After

Judy and I had the pleasure of staging this home recently. There was a huge difference in the master bedroom. Check out the Before and After pictures. We heard they've received an offer on their home, and they'll be moving soon!

Home Staging - A Home That Stands Out

Recently we provided a Home Staging consultation to a client who was getting ready to list her home. We provided her with a lot of suggestions and knew it was going to be an overwhelming task for her to accomplish. She called me this weekend and was so excited to tell me that she had done “everything on the list” and wanted us to stop by and take “after” pictures. It was one of the most extreme differences we had experienced. Her home resembled a model home - down to the smallest detail. I know her house will sell, it looked so inviting and staged perfectly! Home staging really makes a difference!
